Charlotte Gregory attempts to make visible the invisible, record the unmanageable and intangible and highlight the delicate interchange between existing and disappearing in our environment. Collected materials from significant locale become maps, out of date technologies are re-appropriated and collective narratives are adopted to help us recognise and negotiate our shifting surroundings.
Gregory creates works in sculpture, installation and sound that present a hybrid of many elements – physicality, history and land, human relationships and memory, thus interweaving past, present and future to create counter-monuments to the innate nature of place.
Charlotte works as Project Co-ordinator at ISIS Arts and as an artist assistant.
