We are not currently accepting applications for volunteers due to limited capacity.

Volunteering at The NewBridge Project offers an opportunity to work with us to deliver our programme of exhibitions, projects and events. Volunteering will help you to gain a unique insight into how artist-led organisations work, and will allow you to develop your skills, knowledge and confidence within a small and supportive team.

Where possible, we want to make sure our volunteering opportunities are responsive to your needs and interests – so let us know what you’re interested in, what you want to get involved with and what you hope to learn.

You can get involved in lots of different things such as gallery invigilation, event support, exhibition installation, marketing, evaluation and research – or a combination of them all!

Time

You can volunteer with us as much or as little as you like. We recommend that you decide on a set period of time and / or the number of hours you want to volunteer with us. This means that we can plan your time with us and make sure you get the most out of your time.

Previous volunteers have worked 1 day a week over 2-4 months, done an intensive 2 weeks to support a specific project, or have worked with us over 6 months signing up to support events that are of interest. This is not an exhaustive list – so let us know what works for you!

Other Info

The NewBridge Project will reimburse all relevant travel and lunch expenses. We will also provide any relevant / necessary equipment, such as use of a work computer or overalls.

Usually our placements are only available to those over the age of 18, however if you are younger and interested in getting involved please get in touch and we will try and work out a way we can support you.
