We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team at The NewBridge Project.

Our volunteering programme offers an opportunity to work with us to deliver our programme of exhibitions, projects and events. It will enable you to gain a unique insight in to how artist-led organisations work, and will allow you to develop your skills, knowledge and confidence within a supportive team.

As a volunteer, you’ll share many of the advantages of a NewBridge Project member through joining our community of engaged artists and curators.

Our current volunteering opportunities include:

Gallery Invigilation / Event Support / Exhibition Installation / Marketing

Everyone who volunteers with us for up to 24 hours will also receive a FREE Associate Membership with us for one year. This will give you free or discounted access to all our Practice Makes Practice events and workshops, a 10 % discount in NewBridge Books, and discounted prices for hire of our internal gallery and project spaces.

To get the most out of volunteering with us at NewBridge, we recommend volunteering 1-day a week over a 2-month period.

We are also able to offer more intensive placements for 2 weeks or more if you’d like to gain a deeper understanding of the organisation, or would like to support the development and delivery of a specific project you are interested in.

We also regularly host 1-day a week Marketing Placement over a three-month period, for those who wish to gain a deeper insight into communications and social media.

If you are interested, please send an email to Clare at briefly outlining:

  • Why you would like to volunteer with us at The NewBridge Project
  • What you hope to get out of volunteering at The NewBridge Project
  • Any skills or experience you think might be relevant.
