Programme Committee 

Our last committee included artists, curators, writers and organisers: Holly Argent, Ellie Armon Azoulay, Dan Goodman, Kaan K, Shelly Knotts, and Seymour Mace.  

Every two years we recruit a group of 3-8 committee members who are paid to work together with us to create a programme that is based on collaboration, is responsive to our social, political, civic and environmental context. The committee acts as a hands-on development programme for those wanting to gain experience in different aspects of commissioning, curating and programme development.

The Programme Committee will be supported to develop a public programme at The NewBridge Project. They will have the opportunity to get know one another, our context, and our experienced team; and will be nurtured to identify shared values, ways of working and to realise your ideas in a public forum. It provides the opportunity to explore ideas with others in a supportive environment, to learn together and create a public programme with our experienced team. This year’s cohort have interests spanning from music, performance, comedy, publishing, DJ-ing, and curating to queerness, solidarity, coding, community organising and librarianship. We’re excited to see how their programme develops – launching in September 2024!  

NewBridge’s Programme Committee is a vital part of our artist-led approach to programming, ensuring that many voices, interests, and practices are represented through NewBridge’s exhibitions, commissions, and events. Past committee exhibitions include Hidden Civil War, Deep Adaptation, Overmorrow, Blazing New Worlds, Staking the Claims on the Distance, and Socially Awkward.

Our next open-call for committee members will be in Spring 2027.
