Louise Mackenzie is an artist who lives and works in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Working across mediums and often engaging with fields outside of the cultural sector, she is interested in arts relationship to the environment and explores the articulation of human-nonhuman relationships through process, chance, appropriation and translation.
Her works include live genetic modification sound performances, public conversations with future species, techniques for listening to microbes and the translation of 100 year old dust into a composition for church organ.
