My work juxtaposes these lost things, objects that are simultaneously familiar and enigmatic with the notion of changing taste within the domestic environment. Using the ephemeral quality of interior decoration and the endurance of the discarded object, I question the decisions we make when decorating our homes. This is attempted by examining the methods that we choose to either, share or hide aspects of our personalities and histories within our homes. I intend to address the personal connection to the objects that we keep in drawers or boxes and emphasise the void that is created when these familiar ‘treasures’ are lost.
