Thematically my work begins with observation, of lives real and imagined, of my own, of strangers, of people on screens. Starting with drawings, these observations lead to the generation of actions, sounds, text, and mise-en-scène. My primary tactic with this material is collage, it is layered, abstracted, folded in on itself, before being output.
The work is always shifting, from physical to file, performance to film. A zone where everything from romance novels,gauze, drum machines, and dog barks can be commandeered to conjure and give shape to strange narratives.
