Bella Street Fenn

Bella uses moving image and painting to explore speculative aquatic ecologies in relation to feminism, capitalism and interspecies wellbeing. Her work draws on collective euphoric experiences, oceanic feeling, and the psychedelic to create propositions for ways of being in the world.

Bella is an animal shelter, body of water and pleasure seeker. Although she does not have a university art degree, she is proudly alternative art school educated (The Other MA, 2021).

She uses moving image and painting to explore speculative aquatic ecologies in relation to feminism, capitalism and interspecies wellbeing. Her work draws on collective euphoric experiences, oceanic feeling and the psychedelic to create propositions for ways of being in the world.

Relocating from London to the Northumberland coast has allowed her to be in close proximity to watery sources of inspiration and nutrient rich ancestral grounds, from which she hopes to cultivate new ecologically embedded works.
