Our buildings are currently closed to the public whilst we move space – but we are still hosting offsite and online events.

A few different images. A map, some colourful clay artworks. The 10x10 Creative Gateshead Booklets. The ‘Dingy Butterflies’. A note on a phone. A water bottle with a flower in cable tied to a lampost with a note with some street photos attached. A poster for ‘Public Services’

Ben Jones

I am a curator, researcher and artist whose practice-based research is concerned with community arts and social practice; digital inclusion amongst under engaged communities; and issues concerning place making and localism. I have curated exhibitions and managed and facilitated public engagement programs with academic institutions, museums, galleries and heritage and cultural organisations using creative processes to engage communities and participants. Since completing my PhD I started a creative social enterprise, Dingy Butterflies CIC, to develop creative projects in communities with low participatory and digital inclusion.
