Hannah Kelly

Hannah Kelly is an artist based in the North East of England. She studied at UAL Camberwell College of Art, Fine Art Sculpture BA (Hons) graduating in 2023.

Her practice works across all mediums, often working in a mixed media style with her main work focusing on ceramics and light art.

She has previously been displayed locally in the North East in group shows, at the Washington Art Centre, Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, Hills Art Centre Sunderland and as part of the Northern Summer Exhibit in 2023. She has also previously exhibited in several group shows in London too. Including Tate Britain twice with Tate Collective, APT Gallery Deptford, Southwark Park Galleries and Willesden Gallery.

The other side of her practice is collaborative community artwork, working directly to lead art sessions or workshops as a facilitator or making work to display with community groups. Such as the Travelling Tales project, originally funded by Light Up The North to create a maquette and later commissioned in full by Durham County Council. This project toured County Durham from November 2024 as one book and later as four books from February to March 2025. The books were decorated with artwork created with schools and community groups to tell local stories across 14 days of workshops with eighteen different community groups.

The books have later been commissioned by Blyth Celebrates to create tiles to show Blyth’s history and community, through 4 days of workshops to decorate two books which have been displayed in Blyth Library in October and November 2025.

She also makes artwork to sell, often available at local markets and with her ceramic planter stick labels currently stocked at UAL’s Not Just A Shop. Which have also appeared in this year’s (2025) Xmas Gift Guide in Home Style’s Christmas Magazine.
