Judith Gill

As a Visual Artist, I would describe myself as a Creative Glass Explorer through my organic and natural experiments when using glass or other mediums. My work reflects my own personality being vibrant and colourful, and is depicted through the layering and juxtaposition of colours, shapes and textures. There is a sense of structure and form found in my work from my many years working as an established knitwear designer. Influences are varied and gathered from the natural and industrial spaces, they often reflect my passion for history and understanding the economic and geographical forces that have shaped the local landscape. I have been privileged to work with adults with disabilities, which sparked a passion for enabling those who are marginalized in the community to explore creativity, and believe Art can transform people’s lives, by raising aspirations, increasing confidence and self esteem as well as breaking down social barriers in a non threatening, inclusive manner.
