As a Visual Artist my practice-based research unifies digitally printed images and architectural features to form structures, closing in on detail and enhancing awareness of the functionality and practicality that architecture holds in our lives. Key to this research is the exploration of photography and its status as an object, an interest in architecture, the study of philosophy, including visual perception and experience, the navigation of objects/structures, and the understanding of three-dimensional space.The works performing in some instances kinetically, encouraging the spectator to almost participate through the act of movement around the space.The staged installation of my works in exhibition stems from an interest in theatre and film, therefore allowing me to engage my viewer in a philosophical dialogue and experience, between the eyes, the body, the work and architectural space.
