After graduating from Slade in 2018 with a BA in Sculpture, Kara moved to Newcastle to undertake the Woon residency at Northumbria University. Her work crosses the mediums of animation, sculpture, painting, sound, cooking and horticulture to create multimedia installations that explore future technologies. Central ideas to her developing work are anthropomorphism and trans humanism, and she uses plot lines and fictional characters to create narratives that allow us to empathise with and examine possible future scenarios.
