Kate Craddock

Kate is a performer, theatre maker and Festival Director. In 2011 Kate founded GIFT: Gateshead International Festival of Theatre, an international festival for new theatre makers. Kate has grown GIFT to become an annual event for Gateshead and the North East which takes place over a May bank holiday weekend. GIFT presents contemporary theatre practice from around the world, and provides artists and audiences with development opportunities through a varied programme of activities including performances, workshops and discussions aimed to promote dialogue and exchange. GIFT works closely with various venues across Gateshead and has presented work at: Caedmon Hall, BALTIC, St Mary’s Heritage Centre, Central Bar, Prohibition Bar, Shipley Art Gallery, Little Theatre, Gateshead College, Sanctuary Art Space as well as sited locations including Gateshead Interchange, Gateshead High Street and BALTIC square. GIFT also co-ordinates one off pop up events, most recently presenting ALL IN by ATRESBANDES from Barcelona in October 2017.
