Liam is a practising artist based in Newcastle exploring the importance of human process, the massification of object and the fear of the empty (Horror Vacui) within the Fine Art. An alumnus of Leeds College of Art and the University of Leeds, his work comprises of miniature items in huge numbers occupying intricate spaces.
Working with a range of media varying from traditional paint to mixed media sculpture, Liam uses data entry side by side with colourful materials to create formal structures, drawings and paintings. Incorporating dice to dictate the journey of the art, this systematic way of creating often produces vivid and unpredictable outcomes. Using this as a catalyst, Liam’s work is often the result of a boring, laborious journey, yet the final product is is never an eye-sore
