My practice investigates the built environment, looking at the usage of perceived public spaces and their underlying predetermined geography. Expanding on ideas surrounding urban environment I often work within the restrictions of standardised materials from industry such as polystyrene, concrete and metal. Using language that fuels desire and ambition often experimenting with typography that implies nothing through its forms creates a vacuum. Within this landscape phatic communication can become default. but does its lack of context leave it open to manipulation?
