Rachael Kidd

An interest in illusion and delusion – in the sense of creating a false impression – runs throughout much of my work. I try to emulate the accidental and deliberate boundaries set by nature and mankind. Through site-specific intervention in the landscape; the replication of found objects; the re-organisation of naturally occurring formations; and more traditional pieces that make up my visual practice, I explore our relationship with the landscape and our limited capacity for experiencing it.
