Rosie O’Grady

I am interested in moments of collapse – physical, temporal, psychological – and my practice often manifests in acts of collapsing things together. Recent works, or works currently in progress, look at lucid dreaming as a potential site for rehearsal of political action; early medical use of anaesthesia; and the theatrical practice of ‘corpsing’, in which an actor breaks character by forgetting their lines, or laughing. My work often pivots around a temporary intervention and takes various forms including video, installation, performance, print and text. I also sometimes work in programming and curation.
