I’m a Welsh artist (b.Cardiff, 1993) currently living in Newcastle. I work through sculpture, writing and film to tell messy stories of imagined worlds, distorted futures, and dysfunctional objects.
I’m interested in industrial process, material failure, DIY aesthetics, and exploring the continuum between hard and soft technologies. My approach to making is playful and experimental- I use throwaway materials, found things, recycled bits and bobs, food, toiletries etc. My work blends folktale, hearsay, and complete nonsense to create strange places and weird objects that have the potential for infinite narratives. I’m working towards a sustainable and socially engaged practice that works closely with communities to tell lesser-known stories.
