Shannon Saad is a multimedia visual artist from and based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. She recently graduated from Northumbria University with a BA in Fine Art; her practice centred around print and performative moving images while incorporating installation.
She explores a plethora of themes through her work, not limited to symbolism within dreams, memory, distortion and limerence. By combining practice, context and themes, she aims to explore the connection between the artist and the audience through the experience of catharsis derived from the work.
Shannon’s piece, In Love with a Ghost, was exhibited in the Gallery North’s project space. The work consisted of two main elements, creating an installation that spanned the space. Both pieces fed into each other to display themes of love and loss.
She is currently exploring mark-making through her studio practice to evolve and learn new techniques.
