I am a freelance dancer and circus artist based in Newcastle. My practice combines contemporary dance, different circus skills and clowning. My current focus is on exploring the possibilities for improvised and original movement on aerial hoop, silks and rope while maintaining contact with the floor. A particular topic that interests me is the connection between the human body and nature, exploring how the human body fits in the landscape and among wildlife, also discovering new ways of movement by connecting with the animal within each of us and embodying any urges, desires, emotions, feelings that may arise.
