Sue Loughlin

Sue takes a multidisciplinary approach to exploring the interplay of abstract forms. Since relocating to the North East of England in 2017, she has been motivated by the shifting political and socio-economic climate of the region. Broader issues of class and the impact of exploitative financial, religious and patriarchal structures often drive her lines of enquiry and influence material choices. Within recent work the idea of the female body as machine, a soft, fallible, disposable machine, has dominated.
