Join us for a relaxed drop-in workshop where you can participate in exercises focused on radical imagination.
Cut and stick with some collaging activities and make your very own mini zines with Mack Sproates, all on the themes of speculative climate futures.
Learn about zine making and how it can be used as a powerful tool for activism, and creatively express your own relationship with climate justice and the topics you are passionate about, as well as learn from other like-minded people.
Celebrate the launch of a new zine publication, ‘Care, Temporality, Justice’ – a collaborative zine about speculative climate futures – the outcome of a series of creative zine-making and radical imagination workshops held at the NewBridge Project.
Ages 13+ but a parent or guardian must accompany those under 16.
This drop-in workshop is hosted by Miranda Iossifidis.
Miranda Iossifidis is a Lecturer in Sociology with a dedicated research focus on feminist perspectives in speculative environmental presents and futures. Her work is rooted in a unique blend of creative methodologies and draws upon her academic foundation in urban studies.
Miranda’s research addresses critical questions about how diverse environmental and reproductive futures are activated in the present, using feminist frameworks and innovative methods. She also brings experience in urban studies and audio/visual practices to her explorations, enriching her interdisciplinary approach to sociology and climate justice.
Care, Temporality, Justice is part of Ouseburn Open Studios.
