Coffee Morning is a friendly, weekly drop-in for people who live, work in or are visiting Shieldfield. It’s a chance to meet others, have a chat, and enjoy free hot drinks and snacks in a relaxed setting.
NewBridge Gallery is currently closed—you can still shop NewBridge Books.
We will reopen Friday 16 October, 5pm for the preview of Form and Display!
Coffee Morning is a friendly, weekly drop-in for people who live, work in or are visiting Shieldfield. It’s a chance to meet others, have a chat, and enjoy free hot drinks and snacks in a relaxed setting.
Whether you’re new to the city or have lived here for years, you’re very welcome to join Coffee Morning. Each week we’re joined by a mix of local residents, people new to the city, regular faces and first-time visitors — so there’s always someone to talk to. You can stay for five minutes or the whole morning, whatever suits you. Coffee Morning is a simple way to connect with others, be part of the community, and start your day in good company.
Babies and children are welcome, but we ask that they are supervised.
Please note there are no Coffee Mornings on bank holidays.
Here’s how one member of the community describes Coffee Morning:
“This is my second home. I love coming here; it lifts my spirits immediately”
Coffee Morning has been running at NewBridge since our move to Shieldfield. It was set up by artists and The Collective Studio alumni Jacqueline Wood and Karen Kelly with our Communities Producer; and continues to be hosted by our small team of Communities Facilitators: Jacqueline, Hana Azahed and Kaltouma Hassabalah.
Our building has lifts to the gallery, accessible and gender-neutral toilets, baby changing and breastfeeding facilities and two accessible parking bays.
You can watch a walkthrough of our building and find out more about accessible here.
This event is wheelchair accessible. We aim to make your visit pleasant and comfortable. There is a variety of seats and benches, including comfy ones with arms and backs. Coffee Morning can be quite a noisy space and has natural light.
If it’s your first time, or if you would like to discuss the event beforehand, please get in touch with us at admin@thenewbridgeproject.com or on 07708 195 800.
