Join us online for a drop-in, silent collective reading of a new commission by Rosie O’Grady
This is a drop-in event which takes place through civil twilight (Land’s End – John O’Groats). It provides a digital space to participate (and witness others participating) in silently reading the text ‘okay’, commissioned as part of Practice Makes Practice in 2020.
You are invited to attend at any time during this event, entering with lights and mics off, and cameras on. The text is an intimate score which uses punctuation to orchestrate the movement of its reader in a series of small gestures.

As you read the text, you will follow these prompts, including switching your light on and off. We will observe the flickering of the lit squares of the zoom call, in and out of synch with one another.
Reading at your own pace, you are welcome to stay for as long or little time as you like (the text takes around 10 mins to read). There will be occasional music.
This event and commission are part of Practice makes Practice an artist development programme run by artists for artists. This NewBridge Project programme focuses on developing artistic talent and equipping artists with the necessary skills to manage their practice, bridging the gap between art school, studio practice, the gallery and beyond.
