This is a chance to enjoy some delicious crêpes whilst a friendly audience made up of local artists and curators will provide insight and feedback to your work. The layout and style of the crits will take inspiration from the BBC’s popular television programme, The Antiques Road Show. There will be plinths and monitors available to display your work, please bring along anything* you would like feedback on. If you don’t have any artwork to share, still come along to spectate and eat pancakes.

6 – 7 pm: Bring along your artwork, register and eat crêpes
7 – 9 pm: Crits will take place

All crêpes will be vegetarian and there will be a vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and nut free options available. A full breakdown of the ingredients will be provided in the evening. If you have any dietary requirements or questions ahead of this event, please contact Daniel Russell.

*Bring anything creative you’d like to chat about, and not necessarily ‘finished’. Sketchbooks and works-in-progress are welcome, and if your work is too big to bring, a photo or blueprint of it would suffice! You can bring digital work on memory sticks.

Crêpes & Crits was initiated in 2019 by NewBridge member Will Stockwell. This will be the third iteration and Will shall resume his famed crêpe-making for you all to enjoy.

BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, The NewBridge Project and other local arts organisations are keen to come together by creating opportunities and space for people to meet and chat. This is a great way to get inspired, collaborate and find out what people are working on. Watch this space for further opportunities and events.
