Curatorial Collective – Exhibition as Support
Tuesday 14 January, 6 – 8pm
Free, all welcome

Location: GAS Contemporary, Bank Studio, 12 Bedford Way,
Beacon Shopping Centre, North Shields, NE29 6YZ

This workshop will take place within local curator Dan Goodman’s exhibition at GAS Contemporary. The workshop will be led by Dan, who will invite you to explore the significance of space, time and the public in relation to curation. This responds to Dan’s research, exploring how artist-run initiatives form communities of support.

Do you want to make contact with other curators in your area?

The Curatorial Collective was formed in 2019 by independent curator Jessica Bennett and The NewBridge Project. The group meet regularly for events and socials that enable dialogue between independent and early-career curators.

Practice Makes Practice is an artist development programme run by artists for artists. Practice makes Practice focuses on developing artistic talent and equipping artists with the necessary skills to manage their practice, bridging the gap between art school, studio practice, the gallery and beyond.
