During Motsonian’s recent Conical Earth exhibition as part of Life in a Northern Town, she looked at the Kiviõli hillclimb, a motocross spectacle that takes place in the artist’s home country of Estonia. Competitors ride modified motorcycles in an attempt to be the fastest to reach the summit of a steep incline. We tried to find someone to come and talk about the Hillclimb scene here in the North East but it seems there isn’t much of one. However, we discovered a recently resurrected Hillclimb in North Yorkshire and are offering a very limited number of places to attend the annual Bainbridge and District Motor Club Hillclimb!
