Delicate Liminalities / 些細な狭間

The exhibition Delicate Liminalities / 些細な狭間 explores how humans relate, co-create and impact the natural environment that surrounds us in the context of the climate emergency. The videos delve into the intricate intersection between our bodies, environments, and the shared consciousness of the ecosystem. Challenging techno-solutionism, Delicate Liminalities / 些細な狭間 inquires how our bodily experience of nature can foster a deeper personal and cultural understanding. 

By closely examining the numerous liminalities of the physical body, social structure, and living ecosystem, artists from the UK and Japan present a dialogue on how humans and non-humans deal with expectancy, uncertainty, and fluctuating living conditions. Navigating liminality and augmented experiences of natural, the exhibition showcases a multilayered understanding of “nature” under the current social consciousness.

Alongside the film screening, there will be a curated selection of books and zines including Japanese artist books relating to the programme’s themes. These will be available to buy from NewBridge Books.
