Claire Ogah of Overlaycouture describes herself as a cultural storyteller making wearable art and digital art. Self-taught, she’s previously been part of collective projects and commissioned by The NewBridge Project.
Supported by gobscure (whose residency at The NewBridge Project focuses on pluto presses choke points), Claire is hosting conversation, discussion, showing and sharing around some of her jewellery, fabric and digital art. Her event focuses on how as a cultural misfit, a Nigerian Geordie, she makes bespoke work, made with love, and she is proud to be loud and ‘disrupt the corruption’.
