Family Collage and Bookmaking Making Workshop

Saturday 20 January, 2-4pm
The NewBridge Project : Gateshead

FREE | DROP IN

Come and join artists Katy Cole and Sarah Tulloch for a family collage making workshop inspired by their exhibition Indicator and Sarah’s book Object Image.

Let your imagination run riot, have fun and play around with paper materials and collage techniques.

We have a huge stash of newspapers and magazines as raw material and if you can bring your own materials and any drawing from home to add to your collage that would be fantastic.

We will be making simple books to collage into so that you can take it with you to continue working on it at home.

Katy and Sarah will bring some examples and share some thoughts and different methods of working with collage.

Card, glue and cutting materials all provided. All welcome, adults and children.

Indicator is the second exhibition in the on-going collaboration between North East based artists Katy Cole, Annie O’Donnell and Sarah Tulloch. The artists have examined making and exhibiting as research tools to unfold parochial, subjective approaches to ‘collage practice.’ The project continues the tradition of collage as a strategy for cultural critique and as an indicator of future political and social directions.
