Our For Solidarity Social is the first in a regular set of meet-ups for organisations, projects, initiatives and individuals in the region who are offering an alternative to the extractive and oppressive mainstream economic system.
This event is a great opportunity to find out more about the current work being developed by The NewBridge Project and the Solidarity Economy Association. In short, both organisations have been collaborating to produce a digital map of everything that is helping people to meet their material and social needs in ways that don’t harm people or the planet, and in ways that are contributing to building a more just and sustainable world.
Coming along to the event is a great opportunity to introduce the initiative you work for, and meet other grassroots organisations working in the region. You don’t have to be part of an organisation to attend this event, it’s a great networking opportunity for all.
This event is being kindly hosted by Star and Shadow Cinema, but please visit The Newbridge Project website for information on future For Solidarity Socials. These events will take place quarterly, and if you or your initiative would be interested in hosting – please contact Hannah Kirkham.

Get on the map!
Please feel free to spread the word about the work we are doing and in particular with any initiatives who you feel should be represented on the map. It’s very easy to get involved, all we require is some information about the initiative and this can be done by completing this short survey (it will take 5-10 minutes to complete!).
Or if you would like to have a chat, please call us on +44 (0)191 477 1884.
