“Freaks! The Alternative Press & The Psychedelic Underground is an archival collection and exhibition of publications, posters, vinyl and paraphernalia produced by the alternative press and the psychedelic underground of 60’s Britain and USA.
Products of their time, this private collection curated by E F English, brings together the ‘far out,’ designs used by beatniks, hippies, drop-outs, hangers ons and drug culture that was prevalent and influential to the underground ‘peace & love’ movement of the 60s counter culture that spread into mainstream media and lasted until the arrival of punk in 1974.
