Join local Shieldfield resident Hana, as she showcases culture, food and fashion from her hometown Ghadamès, known as ‘the pearl of the desert’. Ghadamès stands in an oasis in Libya and is one of the oldest pre-Saharan cities and an outstanding example of a traditional settlement.

Hana is an artist and chef from Libya, based in Shieldfield.
Hana enjoys painting and drawing and grew up in the city of Ghadames, where she spent most of her childhood having fun. There, she learned traditional drawing practices. She is inspired by fashion, music, food, art, and architecture from Ghadames.
Our building has lifts to the gallery, accessible and gender-neutral toilets, baby changing and breastfeeding facilities and two accessible parking bays. You can watch a walkthrough of our building and learn more about accessibility here.
