FREE, all welcome

Artists Union England and UNISON members at BALTIC are coming together at Gateshead’s New Bridge Project for a DIY Art in Activism flag, badge and zine making session. This is a chance to showcase the vital work trade unions do and an opportunity for those not in trade unions to find out more.

Members and non-members welcome! Heart Unions Week runs form Monday 10th February – Sunday 16th February.

///

Artists’ Union England (AUE) is the collective voice of artists living and working in England

Membership costs £42 annually – equivalent to £3.50 per month.

AUE represents artists in disciplines including:

Visual Art, Applied Arts, Socially Engaged Art, Moving Image, Sound and Performance.

AUE act together in order to gain better working conditions. Most members are self-employed freelance artists and through the union have representation and an organisation to make sure their interests are being served in the labour marketplace. Many other freelance creative professionals such as musicians, actors and technicians have such representation available to them through their respective unions.

In joining AUE members demonstrate support for a fundamental change in the art world and become part of  a democratic organisation led by artists for artists. For further information contact theresa@artistsunionengland.org.uk
