The NewBridge Project
As part of her residency with The NewBridge Project, come and meet our artist and chef in resident Kaltouma Hassaballah! Enjoy some Sudanese Coffee and sweet treats at our regular Monday Coffee Morning!
All welcome no booking required.
We will be working with local chefs to develop their catering and creative practices. The first residency will be undertaken by Kaltouma Hassaballah!
The first of these residencies both features the work of, and is being collaboratively shaped by Kaltouma Hassaballah. Kaltouma is a prominent leader in the Shieldfield community, especially amongst other local chefs. She has catered a number of NewBridge events and specialises in Sudanese cuisine. Kaltouma is also interested in drawing and Hena practices, and the use of perfumes and oils particularly in traditional Sudanese practices.
Our residency is currently rolling on a flexible 6 month period to create a space in which local cooks can develop contacts, skills and experience in catering and wider creativity. This is an opportunity open to people living in Shieldfield.
Every Monday 11am – 12.30pm
Free and open to all!
Pop in for a cup of coffee and biscuits. Meet others working and living in the area! This event is wheelchair accessible. Feel free to bring your children although under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
