The Late Shows | The NewBridge Project – Carliol House

Sat 20th May 2017

Verity Birt + Gary Zhexi Zhang at The NewBridge Project
as part of The Late Shows

7 – 11pm

The NewBridge Project, Carliol House, Market Street, NE1 6NE

The NewBridge Project opened it’s doors of their new home, Carliol House for the first time as part of The Late Shows. You joined us in our new home, a beautiful art-deco, Grade II listed building, formerly home to the North Eastern Electricity Supply Company for a one-night only exhibition that featured artwork by Verity Birt and Gary Zhexi Zhang.

Gary and Verity are undertaking the Connect/Exchange Residency in partnership with The NewBridge Project, BALTIC and NFM. For the Late Shows Gary showed moving image work Lena (2015), and Verity showed Hing the Same about her craig.

We also served up ‘electrifying’ cocktails concocted by NewBridge artists throughout the evening.
