NewBridge Print Studio Workshop

Join our team of fantastic printmakers for a range of drop-in print activities. Explore the theme of celebration, birthday cake, self portraiture and have some fun while trying your hand at three different printmaking techniques.

In these workshops you will have the chance to create both a collaborative print and your own individual print to take home.

Techniques explored include :

Monotype – a basic print technique, where an inked up surface is used to create one-off images.

Cyanotype – a versatile photographic printing process. Using a mixture of drawing, stencils, photo negatives and collage you can create a unique blue-tinted print.

Silkscreen printing – lends itself to graphic image making, you can create prints by building up layers of ink pushed through a silk mesh stencil. This technique is great for making multiple identical images.

You don’t need to book for these workshops – just come along to the Shieldfield Centre and you’ll be directed straight to the print studio!
