One-to-Ones and Buddy Scheme

1 April 2020 - 31 May 2020

If you’re struggling to stay calm or motivated at the minute, we’d like to offer you the opportunity to talk through your situation with someone who might understand. Over the next few weeks we will be offering several opportunities to make this happen.

Firstly, we are inviting people to request one-to-one chats with NewBridge staff – this can be on a topic you need help with (such as applying for funding or support) or just for a general catch-up to maintain sanity! If you have a particular question, we can suggest a staff member who has the best experience and knowledge to help. These sessions can be conducted over phone call or video chat, to your preference.

We are also really pleased to offer some time with a number of curators from the region: firstly with Katie Hickman from BALTIC, who will be offering half hour one-to-ones for our members on Thursday 30 April & Thursday 7 May, 2 – 5pm.

Olivia Heron and Helen Welford from MIMA have also offered a number of one-to-ones for our members and we will share the dates of these soon.

If there is anyone else who you’d like to arrange a talk with, let us know and we may be able to help make it happen.

Lastly, we are setting up a buddy scheme, enabling people in isolation to form artistic bonds. We will pair up people wishing to be involved, based on their aims for the connection. Do you need someone to inspire you, or push you to make work? Do you want to talk about a particular interest? Read eachother extracts of books? Have remote viewing parties? Just have a chat and a cuppa? Email us to let us know what you’re looking for.

Please email us to express your interest in any of the above:

As you may be aware, NewBridge is currently closed to the public and all future events have been cancelled in response to the increasing spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). For more information visit the news section of our website.
