This summer join us for a series of Open Rehearsals and gatherings with artists working with performance, sound, noise, and dance. Continuing ideas of convening and connection, the Abundance installation becomes a space to gather with others and a set for artists to test out ideas-in-progress.
Leaning into the themes of abundance and softness, Noize Choir will sound, drone, and breathe through a series of exercises and sound activations with the support of choir members in the gallery space.
Noizechoir is a place to use your voice in a non-choral setting. They create a space that is accessible and fun. You don’t need to read music, and singing experience is not necessary.

Come along 2–3pm for an open rehearsal with live improvisation starting at 2.30pm.
The evening rehearsal is 6–8pm with live improvisation at 7pm.
Or pop in at time during the day 12–5pm to see the installation and gentle moments of rehearsal.
Noize Choir is a performance ensemble formed in 2011 by Newcastle based artists Lindsay Duncanson and Marek Gabrysch. It involves a loose collective of noise enthusiasts with a common desire to use the human voice free of the traditional restraints of typical choral settings, language or musical notation. Their work is based on a shared fascination with science, culture and landscape.
Our building has lifts to the gallery, accessible and gender-neutral toilets, baby changing and breastfeeding facilities and two accessible parking bays. You can watch a walkthrough of our building and learn more about accessibility here.
