PMP | Amy Linford (muf architecture/art) | Managing A Portfolio Career

Tuesday 5 December, 6.30-8:30pm
The NewBridge Project : Gateshead

A talk by Amy Linford of muf architects.

Amy has a portfolio life. She is currently working at three or four jobs, all of which have their own projects within them. She’s simultaneously teaching architecture, working for muf architects, working for community organisation PEACH, and is part of a mini-community group as a spin off from PEACH. It is as manic as it sounds but she loves what she does.

Her responsibilites are very different in each and she takes on different roles within each project; many of the things she does are born out of another project, job, or collaboration.

The talk was a great insight for people spinning multiple plates of their own and for those interested in art, architecture, the urban, and social.

Practice Makes Practice is an artist development programme run by artists for artists. Practice makes Practice focuses on developing artistic talent and equipping artists with the necessary skills to manage their practice, bridging the gap between art school, studio practice, the gallery and beyond.
