Come and join us at The NewBridge Studios Co-Work Space (Newcastle) for a discussion with Elinor Morgan, Senior Curator at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art.
This will be a great opportunity for emerging curators to gain an insight into her curatorial practice, and to have an open discussion on different approaches to curating and exhibition making.
Bio
Elinor Morgan has been Senior Curator at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima) since June 2015 where she has worked to develop it as an institution that is led by its context and publics. Since 2008 she has curated public art projects, residencies, exhibitions, public and education programmes across the UK working at institutions in Norwich, Cambridge, Birmingham and on independent projects in London. Elinor is on the Board of Grand Union, a gallery and studios in Birmingham, and is a Trustee for Investing in People and Culture, a northeast charity that promotes the social and economic inclusion of people who are seeking asylum, refugees, and emerging Black and Minority Ethnic communities.
Practice Makes Practice is an artist development programme run by artists for artists. Practice makes Practice focuses on developing artistic talent and equipping artists with the necessary skills to manage their practice, bridging the gap between art school, studio practice, the gallery and beyond.
