Bio: Adam Pugh is a curator, writer and designer based in Newcastle, where he leads the artists’ moving image programme at Tyneside Cinema. Previously director of Aurora, an annual festival which focused on artists’ moving image, he has since worked on curatorial projects for visual arts organisations across the UK, as well as establishing the sometime platform Promontories as a means to present self-initiated projects.
As a writer, he has contributed regularly to Art Monthly, and has written for Tate, thisistomorrow and others, in addition to one-off commissions for artists and institutions. He has devised and delivered a course around artists’ moving image at LUX; and has taught, delivered talks and served on international juries for various institutions and events worldwide.
