The Wardrobe, 1st floor, The NewBridge Project
£PAYF or free – just drop in!
The Wardrobe are working with Tyne and Queer Collective to bring you an exciting fundraiser for Kitty’s top surgery. Come along, pay what you feel on the door, and grab yourself some new outfits!
You can bring along some clothes you’re no longer wearing, but no pressure to do so – The Wardrobe have rails upon rails, and bags upon bags.
For those who might not know, The Wardrobe is a safe space for anyone who is trans, non-binary, genderqueer, intersex or who otherwise just feels unsafe in standard clothes shopping and changing environments. We’ve opened this event out more widely to queer people in general to make sure there’s a great showing for Kitty’s funds, and because we want to share the generosity of everyone who’s donated with more people!
We have clothes, shoes, accessories, cosmetics, outerwear, underwear, swimwear. So come along and have a rummage. There’ll be gender neutral changing spaces and toilets available, plus some refreshments and I’m sure some great tunes to explore to.
The Wardrobe is a clothing resource for trans, non-binary and genderqueer people. We collect quality secondhand clothes and provide a safe space to try them on. Find us at The NewBridge Project in Shieldfield, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Tyne and Queer Collective is an emerging North East-based CIC organisation with a mission to create safe spaces for queer-identifying people in the area. They specialise in hosting regular arts and music events to celebrate Newcastle’s diverse and talented queer community all year round.
