Self Employment and Tax Workshop

This workshop was an in-depth look at Self Employment, looking at tax returns, with specific advice catered to artists and artist practitioners.

Attendees were invited to send in questions and subjects that they wanted to see covered during this session so that we can tailor it to the participants needs.

Pete O’Hara
Pete is a fully-qualified Chartered Accountant, who has specialised in the arts and cultural sector for the past 25 years. He currently works with a wide range of cultural sector organisations and artists, providing business advice, training, mentoring and support as well as more traditional accountancy services from book-keeping through to year end accounts. Working with organisations such as CIRCA Projects, Alphabetti Theatre, AV Festival, Northern Charter, Workplace Gallery, Wunderbar and Cobalt Studios amongst others.

This event is programmed as part of Practice Makes Practice, an artist development programme run by artists for artists. Practice makes Practice focuses on developing artistic talent and equipping artists with the necessary skills to manage their practice, bridging the gap between art school, studio practice, the gallery and beyond.
