We are reaching out to all our members and our local community who are affected by the unfolding atrocities in Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel.
NewBridge Gallery is now closed until Friday 16 October.
You can join us on 5 September and 3 October for Saturday Social. You can still shop NewBridge Books throughout the weekdays!
We are reaching out to all our members and our local community who are affected by the unfolding atrocities in Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel.
On Friday 20 October, we joined the Global Strike, together with artists and organisations across the UK and internationally, expressing our solidarity with Palestinians living under occupation and all those impacted by the ongoing violence in the region. We closed to the public, using this time to continue to learn and reflect, to work for a better future for everyone.
As an artist and community-led organisation, we can offer safe space to anyone who wants to come together for collective grieving, reflection, and sharing of resources. Over the coming days and weeks, we also welcome you to make use of our Reading Room, which holds many books on liberation struggles and the vital, painful history of the region as spoken by Palestinian, Israeli, and other voices.
The following books are available in our Reading Room:
We also recommend Flyers for Falastin – a project for sharing posters, stickers or colouring-in pages to support the Free Palestine campaign. Download free posters to share, or upload your own designs.
If there are additional resources you’d like to see or you want to host a gathering at NewBridge, please get in touch with Hannah Kirkham, our For Solidarity Project Manager via email – hannah@thenewbridgeproject.com
If you wish to donate at this critical time, we have also gathered this list of recognised organisations already on the ground and able to provide relief funds to medically support victims in Gaza: ANERA: Palestine Emergency, Middle East Children’s Alliance, Medical Aid for Palestinians and Taawon
