Summer Micro-Residency with Generator Projects
Opportunity for NewBridge Members
Where: Generator Projects, Dundee
When: Friday 24th August – Sunday 2nd September 2018
Bursary: £950
Deadline: Monday 23rd July, 5pm
The NewBridge Project and Generator Projects (Dundee) are offering NewBridge members the opportunity to inhabit Generator’s gallery space for 10 days from Friday 24th August – Sunday 2nd September 2018.
Summer Micro-Residency will be an opportunity to spend over a week living and working in a different city and artist-led space.
It will provide the chance to explore and develop different areas of your practice through exchanging ideas, meeting new people and creating networks in Dundee.
Summer Micro-Residency will take a very flexible and open approach, we are open to ideas for how the space and time is used, for example it could be used to present a group/solo exhibition; as a studio/residency space; as a platform to programme events; to host a thematic programme; for artist development; or to create links between artists in Newcastle and Dundee.
We are interested in proposals that have an element of exchange and demonstrate how you will engage with Generator’s members and audiences whether through a one-off event or throughout the 10 day period.
The selected artist(s) will have access to both of Generator’s gallery spaces (please see gallery plans for details) and their Collective Space (a co-work/event space) if needed.
Bursary:
There is £950 bursary available for the selected artist, the bursary must cover travel, accommodation, subsistence, fee and materials – please consider this when developing your idea. Generator will provide additional support for documentation, marketing and installation materials if needed.
Please note, we are open to artist groups or collectives applying but the bursary will remain the same.
