OPPORTUNITY

Practice Makes Practice ~ A Social Residency

Bursary: £900 (accommodation and travel provided)
Duration: 3-4 weeks (September 2016)
Deadline: Wednesday 4 May, 6pm

We invite artists to apply for Practice makes Practice ~ A Social Residency at The NewBridge Project. This one-month residency will provide artists with time and space to reflect on their practice through interaction and collective co-existence.

This residency forms part of Practice makes Practice, an artist development programme run by artists for artists based at The NewBridge Project. During the residency we will invite you to input into the Practice makes Practice programme, instigating events, visits, talks etc, which will directly feed your own professional development and that of our members. We can provide a small budget for travel and fees to support this where necessary.

A Social Residency will provide artists with time to exchange ideas, meet new people, develop networks, research new work/project and to explore new aspects of their practice without any expectation to produce work.

The residency will be based within NewBridge studios – an active community of over 80 artists in Newcastle upon Tyne, we welcome proposals from artists keen to get involved and engage with The NewBridge Project and its members.
