Welcome to the team, Frances!

Please join us in welcoming Frances Stacey to the NewBridge team as Director, covering for Rebecca Huggan while she is on parental leave.

As interim Director, Frances Stacey will support the team at The NewBridge Project across all areas of the organisation, leading on fundraising, partnerships, and strategic development.

Frances brings overs fourteen years’ experience working closely with artists, arts organisations and community groups with a particular emphasis on co-production and artists development. She previously worked as a Producer and Acting Head of Programme at Collective, Edinburgh; was a co-founder of artist led space Rhubaba Gallery and Studios, Edinburgh; a trustee for sex-worker rights organisation Scot-Pep; and is part of the Feminism Art Maintenance group, an international research project exploring perspectives on womxns organising.

Frances says: I am really looking forward to meeting all the different people who are part of the NewBridge Project – from studio holders to kids on our youth programme – and have felt very welcomed into the joyful, messy and relational work that is happening in Shieldfield.
