Join Michaela Cullen + Declan Colquitt for a screening, talk and discussion, that will explore some of the strands that run across both their practices, such as; nostalgia and recollection, place and identity.
We will watch the film and sound piece in their current exhibition Double Dropping on a Phantom Island, then Michaela and Dec will chat about their work, process and collaboration on this project. This will be followed by an open discussion for people chat further to the artists and share their own ideas and thoughts on the work.
Double Dropping on a Phantom Island is part of Life in a Northern Town, a series of exhibitions and a programme of events featuring work by emerging and early-career artists living and working in the North of England. It has been programmed in partnership with Assembly House (Leeds), Islington Mill (Manchester), Caustic Coastal (Manchester), Bloc Projects (Sheffield) and The Royal Standard (Liverpool).
