I work across performance, sculpture, video and text. Often, my work tackles the relationship between form and politics, with a particular focus on forms that interact with power in some way, as mechanisms, byproducts, or obstructions. In tandem with this is the central question of ethics, namely how you or I might subjectively relate to this; how to act in the world. It comes down to agency, or lack of it. I imagine someone repeatedly head-butting the locked door of a large building. The work is frequently absurd, sometimes funny. I also collaborate with other artists and organise exhibitions and events with and around other people, something which is ever-entwined with my studio practice.
